How often should electrical wiring be checked?
For tenanted properties, every 5 years or at each change of occupancy, whichever is sooner.- At least every 10 years for an owner-occupied home.
- At least every 5 years for a business.
How long is a electrical certificate valid for?
Although the COC is valid for a period of Two (2) Years, it is only necessary to have the home inspected again when it is to be sold: You do not need to have it done as long as you plan to remain in possession of the property.
How much does it cost to get an electrical safety certificate?
The cost of a COC is dependant on the size of your home and the number of breakers on your distribution board. Please get in touch for a no-obligation quote.
What are our operating hours and do you need to schedule an appointment?
Our standard working hours are as follows:
